Loma Escondida Water Association has ongoing violations for exceeding the maximum contaminant level (MCL) for arsenic, a carcinogenic element that poses a public health risk when consumed over long periods of time at high levels. Loma Escondida is required to install treatment for arsenic removal, or find an alternate water source, within 18 months from the effective date of this Order.
