On July 22, 2015, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order with the Idaho Transportation Department to resolve violations of the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for asbestos (asbestos NESHAP) resulting from the demolition of a former commercial building in Priest River, Idaho. Region 10 alleged that the demolition project started without an asbestos survey or notification to EPA as required by the asbestos NESHAP. The respondent agreed to pay a $51,986 penalty.
