On September 27, 2013, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) to the Frankford Properties LTD (Respondent) doing business as the Southwest Garden Water System in Lubbock, TX. The AO was issued in response to violations of the fluoride maximum contaminant level (MCL). The AO requires Respondent to submit to EPA: 1) a detailed plan to meet the nitrate MCL; 2) a cost analysis of the proposed plan; and 3) a construction schedule. Respondent must submit a plan to EPA Region 6 within 120 days of the issuance date of the Order.
