EPA signed an administrative order on consent (AOC) with Garelick Farms, LLC of Lynn, MA. The company, a subsidiary of Dean Foods Company, operates a dairy, which uses anhydrous ammonia in the plant?s refrigeration system to chill milk and juices. A December 2012 inspection revealed that the company had violated many risk management program requirements of 40 C.F.R. Part 68. The AOC requires compliance with such requirements. The AOC does not preclude a further penalty action.
