On September 25, 2015, Administrative Order, CERCLA-02-2015-2036, was unilaterally issued to the Respondent pursuant to Section 106 of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980, as amended (CERCLA), 42 U.S.C. ? 9606. The Order directs Respondent to implement part of a remedial action (RA) selected in a March 2013 Record of Decision (ROD) for the Cayuga County Groundwater Contamination Superfund Site, Cayuga County, New York. Under the Order, the Respondent is directed to undertake the RA components related to the provision of a backup generator and a second air stripper for the Village of Union Springs Public Water Supply Treatment System and to operate, monitor and maintain Point of Entry Treatment (POET) systems at the Site. Respondent completed the design of these components under a prior administrative consent order. The work in the Order is valued at approximately $350,000.
