In response to the U.S. motion for entry, the federal district court for EDNY entered a judicial consent decree resolving an administrative order and also claims against the Defendant involving 48 facilities on Long Island, NY. The Defendant will pay a civil penalty of $427,500 and perform injunctive relief consisting of compliance with UST requirements and operation and maintenance of a centralized monitoring system for continuous monitoring of release detection of UST systems at each of the County's facilities.
