This is a referral to the Department of Justice for civil litigation for two separate releases of oil from pipelines owned by West Shore Pipeline (Owner) and operated by Buckeye Pipeline Company LP, that occurred (1) near 13803 South New Avenue, Lockport, IL and (2) from a pipeline rupture located near the intersection of Route 83 and South 86th Avenue, Palos Park, Illinois. Approximately, 750 barrels of jet fuel spilled from the pipeline into an unpaved pipeline right of way and into a drainage ditch where it flowed into the Cal-Sag Channel. .
