On November 16, 2015, Region 10 issued a compliance order on consent addressing violations of the Clean Water Act by Tamarack Mill, LLC. Respondent, which operates a sawmill, discharged pollutants to waters of the U.S. in violation of EPA's Multi-Sector General Permit for Stormwater Discharges Associated with Industrial Activity (MSGP). Violations include failure to have a complete stormwater pollution prevention plan, failure to submit annual reports, failure to conduct effluent monitoring and failure to have records onsite. The compliance order requires the respondent to conduct certain monitoring activities.
