On December 14, 2015, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by Tamarack Mill, LLC. Respondent, which operates a sawmill, discharged pollutants to waters of the U.S. in violation of EPA's Multi-Sector General Permit for Stormwater Discharges Associated with Industrial Activity (MSGP). Violations include failure to have a complete stormwater pollution prevention plan, failure to submit annual reports, failure to conduct effluent monitoring and failure to have records onsite. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $31,500.
