An Administrative Order (AO) was issued to the City of Mesquite for violation of the Clean Water Act (CWA), 33 U.S.C. 1311. Violations were identified are based on a review of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) City of Mesquite Sanitary Sewer Compliance Inspection, conducted on February 13, 2014, and the resulting Report; as well as the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality's (TCEQ) Water Quality Non-Compliance Notifications for the City's collection system. The violations alleged are for unauthorized/unpermitted discharges or Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSOs).
