On January 27, 2016, Region 10 issued an administrative order on consent to Shoreside Petroleum, Inc. of Anchorage, Alaska, to address violations of the Clean Air Act. The company failed to comply with the emissions controls regulations and work practice requirements for gasoline loading racks for tanker trucks and bulk gasoline storage tanks at its Seward and Cordova gasoline terminals in Alaska. Compliance with the order will reduce emissions of volatile organic compounds and hazardous air pollutants from the companys bulk gasoline storage tanks and tanker truck loading operations. The order also requires the company to conduct an initial test to show that newly installed controls are working, and to implement proper work practices, such as checking for equipment leaks and keeping a log of the results.
