On December 7, 2015, Region 1 filed an administrative complaint against Weymouth Salvage Company for Clean Water Act (CWA) violations at a salvage yard facility located in Weymouth, Massachusetts. The company discharged stormwater associated with industrial activity without authorization under a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NDPES) permit, failed to apply for coverage under an NPDES permit, failed to prepare and implement a Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plan, and failed to respond to an Information Request in violation of Section 308.
