EPA filed a CAFO to commence and conclude a civil enforcement action against Zidan Management Group, Inc. (Zidan) for violations of the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP). Zidan conducted an RRP activity in target housing without proper firm or renovator certification and its employees failed to use lead safe work practices.
Zidan has agreed to spend a minimum of $41,500 on a Supplemental Environmental Project to abate lead-based paint and lead-based paint hazards in its target housing located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Zidan will also pay a civil penalty of $3,675.
