On January 29, 2016, EPA Region 6 issued a Final Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 1423 of the Safe Drinking Water Act to McCann Resources located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The AO was issued in response to the violations of: (1) Failing to complete corrective action and 2) maintaining an injection well in a manner that may allow contamoinates to move trough zones of underground sources of drinking water. The AO requires McCann Resources 1) Plug the well or 2) Convert the well to production use. 3) Reduce and maintain the well and annulus fluid level to below 480 feet subsurface. McCann Resources must respond to EPA Region 6 within 30 days. For more information, see documents below.
