On January 29, 2016, Region 10 issued a Stop Sale, Use, or Removal Order to Pinelake Industries LLC, headquartered in Carrollton, Texas, to stop the further distribution or sale of Rodent Defense. EPA issued the order because the product is not registered with EPA. Distributing or selling unregistered pesticides is a violation of FIFRA.
