On August 4, 2016, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order with SeaCast, Inc. to address violations of EPCRA 313 at its precision casting foundry in Marysville, Washington on the Tulalip Indian Reservation. Respondent failed to report use of a toxic chemical to the Toxics Release Inventory. Respondent agreed to pay a $8,400 penalty and perform a pollution prevention SEP ($97,740 estimated value) which will reduce or eliminate the use of a wax containing BPA and replace it with a less toxic alternative.
