On January 22, 2016, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Penalty Order (APO) under its authority pursuant to the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) to the Village of Downsville (Respondent),located in Downsville, Louisiana. The APO was issued in response to failure to respond to the Administrative Order issued on March 31, 2014 for violations of the Ground Water Rule. The APO requires the Village of Downsville to pay a penalty in the amount of $3,000.00. The Village of Downsville must respond to EPA Region 6 within thirty days of receipt of the Order.
