The EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Compliance Order under its authority pursuant to Section 112(r)(l) of the CAA to Invista S.a.r.l., located in Orange, TX. The AOC is being issued in response to violations of: failing to follow standard operating procedures for restarting the ammonia unit after an extended turnaround. The AOC requires Invista S.a.r.l. to assess the need for additional ammonia monitors in the vicinity of the ammonia unit and to install no less than 3 additional detectors within 240 days of the effective date of the order.
