On February 16, 2016, EPA Region 6 issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order under its authority pursuant to 112(r) to Huntsman Petrochemical, LLC, located Port Neches, TX. On February 17, 2015 Huntsman Petrochemical, LLC, had air releases. The release on February 17, 2015, was of ethlylene which is a listed flammable extremely hazardous substance. The release is in violation of RMP 112(r)(7) because the facility failed to clearly define and configure the process interlock function. Huntsman is required to pay a $30,000 penalty.
