## Summary

PPG Industries (PPG) operates a group of chemical plants on their campus located in Barberton, Ohio. EPA?s investigation uncovered noncompliance with the provisions of its Title V operating permits at two of the facilities. EPA issued Notices and Findings of Violation (NOV/FOV) to PPG on July 10, 2013, and February 5, 2015. Violations alleged in the NOV/FOVs include, among others: failure to correctly track and calculate emissions; failure to accurately maintain a permanent total enclosure; failure to establish emissions factors and operating parameters; failure to conduct compliant stack tests; an incomplete response to a Section 114 Information Request; and failure to meet an emissions limitation and required control efficiencies. This Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) requires PPG to pay a civil penalty of $137,500. An Administrative Consent Order signed in November 2015 is bringing the facility into compliance with their operating permits. Together, these orders resolve the alleged violations of the Clean Air Act.
