On April 13, 2016, Region 5 executed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) with Miba Bearings US LLC (Miba). The CAFO commences and concludes an administrative proceeding against Miba, identifying alleged violations of Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). EPA alleged Miba violated RCRA by storing hazardous waste for ore than 90 days without a permit, and by improperly storing spent fluorescent lamps.
