On June 2, 2016, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order against Granite Construction Company in Okanogan, Washington to resolve violations of the Federal Air Rules for Indian Reservations (FARR) under the CAA. Respondent, which operates an air pollution source within the exterior boundaries of the Colville Indian Reservation, failed to renew its annual FARR registration. The company agreed to pay a $1,037 penalty. This case was brought as part of Region 10?s strategy to address noncompliance by all facilities in Region 10 that failed to comply with the FARR registration requirement during the last year.
