Summary

On July 12, 2016, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order against PNW Wind Down, LLC formerly known as Omak Wood Products, LLC in Omak, Washington to resolve violations of the Clean Air Act (CAA) and Federal Air Rules for Indian Reservations (FARR) that occurred during its lease and operation of a tribally owned facility located on the Colville Reservation in Omak, Washington. The facility is a lumber mill that produced plywood veneer from raw timber. During its operation of the facility Omak Wood Products, LLC exceeded FARR opacity limits during a source test, failed to abide by terms and conditions of an administrative compliance order on consent, submitted an incomplete response to a CAA Section 114 Information Request, and submitted an electronic compliance certification to EPA that was not signed by a certifying official as required. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $89,000.
