On May 25, 2016, Region 8 filed a Combined Complaint and Consent Agreement (CCCA) assessing a penalty against Bonanza Creek Energy Operating Company, LLC (BCEOC) for a violation of the New Source Performance Standards, Subpart JJJJ- Standards of Performance for Stationary Spark Ignition Internal Combustion Engines (NSPS JJJJ) at an oil and gas production facility in Colorado.
