On May 10, 2015, EPA Region 6 issued a CAFO under its authority pursuant to CAA to Invista S.a.r.l. located in Victoria, TX. The CAFO was issued in response to violations of the respondent failing to design and maintain a safe facility and did not taking such necessary steps to prevent accidental releases of cyclohexane by failing to properly maintain the cooling water supply inlet gate, which upon failure released cyclohexane to the ambient air. The CAFO requires Invista to pay $30,000 to Region 6 within 30 days of the effective date of the order.
