This case addresses violations of the Clean Air Act (CAA) by Patterson's Diesel, Inc., ( Patterson's ) an automotive repair shop located in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. On September 10, 2014, USEPA inspectors found that Patterson's possessed one vehicle which had emissions control defeat devices installed by Patterson's.
As part of the settlement with EPA, Patterson's paid a $2,100 civil penalty and agreed to cease installing, purchasing or selling emission control defeat devices.
