On July 13, 2016, EPA Region 6 issued an AOC under its authority pursuant to CAA to Schuetz Container Systems located in Pasadena, Texas. The AOC was issued in response to violations of the respondent failing to design and maintain a safe facility and did not taking such necessary steps to prevent accidental releases by failing to accurately track classifications of chemicals, which upon failure released hazardous substances to the ambient air. The AOC requires Schuetz to take corrective actions and provide documentation to Region 6 within 180 days of the effective date of the order.
