The importer of record, Gojira Fine Chemicals, attempted to import an unregistered pesticide to the United States. Based on information provided to EPA by the importer of record, the pesticide was not registered under FIFRA nor did it meet a regulatory exemption from pesticide registration, an unlawful act under FIFRA 12(a)(1)(A). EPA recommended US Customs and Border Protection deny entry/ refuse delivery of the shipment and for the shipment to be exported to the country of origin.
