This case addresses violations of the Clean Air Act (CAA) by Liberator Performance, Inc, ( Liberator ), an automotive parts store located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. On August 25, 2014, USEPA inspectors found that Liberator possessed one vehicle which had emissions control defeat devices installed by Liberator.
As part of the settlement with EPA, Liberatorpaid a $3,150 civil penalty and agreed to cease installing, purchasing or selling emission control defeat devices.
