On September 30, 2016, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Air Act by Shoreside Petroleum, Inc. located in Anchorage, AK. Respondent, which operates bulk gasoline terminals, violated 40 C.F.R. Part 60, Subpart XX and 40 C.F.R. Part 63, Subparts BBBBBB and CCCCCC at the company's Seward and Cordova gasoline terminals when it failed to install and test required air pollution controls. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $89,036 which recovers all of the economic benefit the company received by delaying the installation and testing of controls, and associated monitoring, recordkeeping and reporting.
