On July 21, 2016, EPA conducted an inspection of the Town of Chenango. The Town is required, pursuant to its SPDES permit to have written O & M procedures for its sanitary sewer system. The Town was unable to provide them to EPA. This AO requires the development of such O & M procedures to the EPA and NYSDEC. The Town is performing certain maintenance of its sanitary sewer system, but needs to formalize its program through written O & M procedures.
