On February 19, 2014, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) to the City of Wellman (Respondent) in Wellmand, TX. The AO was issued in response to violations of the fluoride maximum contaminant level (MCL). A construction schedule was submitted for installation of treatment for excess fluoride contamination, which was incorporated into an amended Administrative Order (AO), issued on November 22, 2016.
