On July 13, 2017, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by Aspen Homes. Respondent, which operates a construction site, failed to obtain authorization under EPA's Stormwater Construction General NPDES Permit (CGP) and failed to develop a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). Failing to obtain permit coverage and to implement the planning, inspecting and mitigation requirements of the CGP poses risks to Lake Coeur d'Alene. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $11,000.
