On March 13, 2017, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Water Act and Washington Industrial Stormwater General permit by Metrie Inc. Respondent operated a wood molding remanufacturing facility for 60 months without a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan in violation of the Washington Industrial Stormwater General permit. Respondent had other permit violations such as failure implement spill prevention & emergency clean-up best management practices; exceedances of maximum pH hold time; late submittal of quarterly Discharge Monitoring Reports; failure to document, record, and/or maintain monthly visual inspection reports; and failure to submit annual reports. The Respondent agreed to pay a penalty of $82,000.00.
