On January 4, 2017, Region 1 issued a combined Complaint and CAFO against Redland Brick, Inc. of South Windsor, Connecticut initiating and settling claims for violations of EPCRA Section 313 reporting requirements. Redland Brick had failed to file the required TRI forms for barium compounds used in the manufacturing of bricks in 2013, 2014, and 2015. In an expedited settlement, Redland Brick agreed to pay a $11,246 penalty to resolve the violations.
