On March 31, 2017, Region 10 filed an expedited settlement agreement and final order resolving a violation of the Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule under TSCA to Lighthouse Homes and Remodeling located in Meridian, Idaho. The EPA alleged violations included failing to obtain an initial firm certification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and failure to assign certified renovators while performing renovation work on a pre-1978 residential property as required by the RRP Rule. Lighthouse Homes and Remodeling has agreed to pay a penalty amount of $400 to resolve the violation.
