On September 1, 2016, EPA conducted a stormwater construction inspection of the Provo High School construction site operated by Westland Construction. Findings included failure to prepare a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, failure to ensure personnel conducting inspections were properly trained and certified, failure to properly manage concrete washout, failure to install appropriate stormwater and sediment controls, failure to display proper SWPPP project signage, and failure to document corrective actions. Westland Construction implemented corrective actions to address the findings and agreed to pay a penalty.
