On February 7, 2017, the Region issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) to Dragon Products LTD resolving fifteen (15) alleged violations of Section 313 of EPCRA (Toxic Chemical Release Inventory). This action covers Dragon?s Texas facilities located in North Silsbee, La Porte, and Wespine (Beaumont). EPCRA requires that facilities that exceed annual usage thresholds of toxic chemicals must report the releases and waste management of those chemicals. The facilities failed to report for diisocyanates, methanol, 4, 4 isoproylidenediphenol, xylene methyl isobutyl ketone, ethylbenzene, copper and ethylene glycol. Dragon Products will have thirty (30) days from the date of filing to pay the penalty of $187,000.
