On May 9, 2017, Region 10 issued an expedited settlement agreement and final order to resolve violations by Simi Roofing & Construction (Simi) located in Anchorage, Alaska of the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP). The EPA alleged that Simi Roofing & Construction failed to become RRP firm certified prior to performing renovation work on pre-1978 residential properties as required by the RRP. Simi agreed to pay a penalty of $200.
