Lafourche Parrish built the Choctaw Levee in wetlands instead of upland alignment discussed with and approved by Corps of Engineers. By agreeing to this penalty action, and signing an agreement to perform partial restoration and obtain the proper CWA Section 404 permit from the Corps, the Parish is resolving this matter.
