] On February 28, 2017, the Regional Judicial Officer for EPA-Region III issued a Final Order concluding a proceeding initiated by EPA under the federal Clean Air Act (CAA) against Centre Foundry and Machine Company (Centre Foundry) for multiple violations of two CAA hazardous air pollutant emission standards at Centre Foundry?s Wheeling, West Virginia facility. At the Wheeling facility, Centre Foundry operates a gray iron foundry, specializing in the manufacture of gray iron castings. Centre Foundry had violated multiple requirements of 40 C.F.R. Part 63, Subpart ZZZZZ, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Iron and Steel Foundries Area Sources ('' 63.10880-10906), and 40 C.F.R. Part 63, Subpart ZZZZ, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Stationary Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines ('' 63.6580-6675). The Final Order, which incorporates a Consent Agreement executed by the parties, resolves the alleged past civil violations. The proceeding was initiated by a proposed Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO). Under the terms of the settlement, a civil penalty of $195,000 will be paid by Centre Foundry.
