On August 31, 2017, Region 10 entered into an expedited settlement agreement with the University of Alaska Fairbanks in Fairbanks, Alaska for failure to comply with RCRA requirements for management of containers of hazardous waste and requirements for training workers handling hazardous waste. Respondent has taken steps to return to compliance, and agreed to pay a penalty of $7,000.
