The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency reached an expedited settlement with Parcel Pack Express on May 10, 2017 for illegal importation of 30 uncertified outboard motors (marine engines) in August 2016. The engines were not properly labeled and were found to be uncertified as there is no certificate of conformity (COC). Parcel Pack Express paid a civil penalty of $1,000 and exported the motorcycles back to China.
