On April 12, 2017, EPA Region 6 Inspectors Carol Johnson, and Linda Smith arrived at The City of New Orleans (CNO) office for an announced Compliance Evaluation Inspection. The Inspectors met with the CNO's Urban Water Program Manager and informed him that this was an EPA inspection to determine compliance with the facility's LPDES MS4 Phase I Permit and the Clean Water Act. The inspection was conducted under the authority of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program, in accordance with the Federal Clean Water Act
