On September 5, 2017, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by Big State Logistics, Inc., located in Fairbanks, Alaska. Respondent, which operates a petroleum fuel distribution operation, discharged fuel oil to waters of the U.S. without a permit as a result of a tanker truck roll-over on the Richardson Highway, Milepost 180, at Paxson Lake. Paxon Lake supports salmon spawning and rearing, and recreational activities such as camping and fishing. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $9,000.
