EPA received a tip/complaint alleging a contracting firm had violated requirements of the Renovation, Repair & Painting (RRP) Rule while working at a pre-1978 property in Cape May, NJ The contracting firm has a business address in Erma, NJ and performed a regulated renovation without prior EPA RRP-firm certification, and without proper worker training. EPA is requiring the firm to come into compliance, and is seeking a monetary penalty by offer of an Expedited Settlement Agreement.
