Region 5 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) with Complete Metal Finishing, Inc. (CMF), commencing and concluding an action for alleged violations of hazardous waste provisions of RCRA. CMF is an electropolishing and stainless steel passivation facility, located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The alleged violations include accumulating hazardous waste for more than 90 days without a license, as well as failure to comply with hazardous waste determination, reporting, inspections, training, and containment requirements. Under the CAFO, CMF paid a penalty of $30,000.
