The Respondent gained coverage under the NJDEP Construction General Permit (CGP) to disturb approximately 15 acres of land at the Emerald Hills construction site. The Respondent failed to maintain stormwater BMPs including: failure to install and maintain sediment barriers; failure to maintain construction site entrances; failure to implement and maintain inlet protection; and failure to properly manage construction waste. These measures are required by the CGP and the Site Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan. The penalty has been calculated at $15,000.
