The Town is a permitted MS4 in Orangetown, NY. EPA conducted an MS4 Audit on June 26-28, 2017 and identified that the Town was not complying with the terms and conditions of the NYSDEC MS4 General Permit. Permit violations include failure to prepare an adequate SWMP Plan, failure to implement SWMP Plan, failure to conduct outfall inspections, failure to implement IDDE program and failure to conduct self- assessments as required. An Administrative Order is being issued to order the Town to comply with Permit conditions.
