EPA issued an Administrative Consent Order (ACO) addressing violations of the Clean Air Act to Quaker City Castings (QCC), located in Salem, Ohio. The ACO establishes a calculation methodology to be used to ensure ongoing compliance with the existing VOC emission limit in the PTIO for QCC's Thermal Sand Reclamation Unit, contains certain reporting and record-keeping requirements, and requires applicable permits be revised to incorporate certain requirements of the ACO into QCC's permits as permanent, federally enforceable terms and conditions to ensure ongoing compliance. This agreement will resolve violations of the CAA alleged in a September 2, 2014 Notice of Violation and Finding of Violation and April 1, 2016 Notice of Violation and Finding of Violation.
